Ashley Godwin
Ashley Godwin, formerly senior defense and government affairs adviser for the Shipbuilders Council of America, has joined Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) as director of federal policy.
HII said Wednesday she will help develop the company’s legislative and federal policy priorities in support of future shipbuilding campaigns and initiatives supported by the technical solutions division.
Godwin will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and report to Jay Donnelly, vice president of program integration and assessment.
She previously worked at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) as director of government and customer relations.
Her two-decade professional career in Washington also includes time as deputy chief financial officer of the Department of the Navy; deputy associate director of presidential personnel in the White House; and a professional staff member of the House Armed Services Committee.
