In this capacity, he will oversee Maxar Intelligence’s technology strategy and help advance the development of digital and geospatial intelligence platforms, the company said Thursday.
Dan Smoot, CEO of Maxar Intelligence, said Srinivasan has decades of experience building digital platforms in the geospatial sector and overseeing large-scale infrastructure systems at tech companies.
“With his experience, he can help us accelerate progress against key growth priorities, including further scaling the Maxar Geospatial Platform and continuing to evolve our industry-leading 3D and analytics capabilities,” Smoot added.
Srinivasan’s 13-year career at Google included time overseeing the commercialization of the Google Maps Engine cloud platform and leading engineering teams to build capabilities for the Google Earth platform, Google Assistant, YouTube and Google News.
He previously worked at Meta (Nasdaq: META) and Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), leading large-scale infrastructure systems.
Maxar Intelligence was one of the two separate businesses formed as part of a reorganization that the parent company announced in September following its acquisition by private equity firm Advent International in May.
