The company said Tuesday Chakraborty’s appointment aligns with Accenture’s efforts to expand its responsible AI capabilities, products and services, partnerships and thought leadership.
Chakraborty has over two decades of experience, including time serving as a Senate AI Insight Forum member responsible for providing advice on AI innovation while mitigating risks. Prior to joining Accenture in November 2012, the executive was with Hewlett-Packard for several years. He was also a consultant at KPMG Consulting in the early 2000s.
“Clients are eager to embrace the potential of generative AI, and we are ready to help them build responsible AI into every use,” said Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture. “Our focus is to enable our clients to innovate AI safely and be ready to seize the opportunities that AI will bring in the decades ahead.”
