Dennis Via, a retired U.S. Army general, has joined Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) as a senior executive adviser and fellow for defense futures to help craft the company’s defense market strategy.
Booz Allen said Wednesday the more than 36-year military veteran will also work with defense, intelligence and homeland security clients to help them understand threat and budgetary challenges.
“Dennis is an exceptional leader who will continue his service to our nation through his position as Booz Allen Fellow,” said President and CEO Horacio Rozanski.
Via previously served as commanding general of the Army Materiel Command, which oversees the service branch’s land force materiel readiness efforts for U.S. troops and allies.
He also held other leadership positions at the Army and Defense Department in work areas such as communication infrastructure, cybersecurity, global logistics, research, development and engineering.
