Brian Cummings, a retired U.S. Army major general, has been named vice president of combat vehicles, soldier systems and armaments at Alexandria, Virginia-based defense consultancy Cypress International.
The 35-year military veteran brings leadership experience in Army acquisition programs for ground combat systems, soldier equipment and combat service support vehicles, Cypress said Friday.
His career at the Army also includes time as chief of staff for the deputy commanding general Iraq with a focus on advising and training, program manager for mobile electric power and product manager for ground systems.
Cypress is a service-disabled veteran-owned company that offers business development, mergers and acquisitions and strategy and cybersecurity services to clients in the defense and homeland security markets.
