Army Taps Airborne Systems, Mills Manufacturing for $150M Parachute Supply Contract

Airborne Systems North America of California and Mills Manufacturing have won spots on an eight-year, $150M contract to provide MC-6 personnel parachute systems to the U.S. Army.

Army Contracting Command received three bids for the firm-fixed-price contract via an online solicitation process, the Department of Defense said Friday.

DoD expects contract work to finish June 18, 2028.

The MC-6 parachute system is equipped with deep brake backup, speed control and turning mechanisms for military personnel to drop onto their desired landing areas.
