Army Picks Fisher Sand & Gravel for $400M Border Infrastructure Design-Build Contract

Fisher Sand and Gravel will design and construct border infrastructure within the southern area of Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge in Arizona under a one-year, $399.9M contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

USACE received three out of five bids solicited for the project and obligated $268.1M at the time of award from fiscal 2018 military construction and defense-wide funds, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The Pentagon expects the contract work to conclude by Dec. 30, 2020.

North Dakota-based Fisher Sand and Gravel processes sand, gravel and aggregate materials as well as provide crushing services for public work projects.
