Walsh Construction, DPR-RQ Construction, StructSure Projects, Gilbane Federal and JE Dunn Construction were tapped to provide the U.S. Army with construction services under a six-year, $900 million firm-fixed-price contract.
The Department of Defense said Thursday the five contractors will compete for orders of integrated design-build initial outfitting construction services and will perform work through Feb. 8, 2029.
Each order will determine where the construction companies will conduct services and how much funding will be obligated.
Army Corps of Engineers held an online solicitation for the contract and received seven bids.
In August 2022, the Army picked six small businesses out of 20 offerors to provide construction services on a task order basis. The $100 million contract has an estimated completion date of Sept. 26, 2023.
