The U.S. Army has awarded nine companies a $147.8 million contract to overhaul and repair the services vessels located in the U.S. east coast.
GMD Shipyard, Colonna’s Ship Yard, Tecnico, Yank Marine, Metal Trades, Detyens Shipyards, Lyon Shipyard, Davis Boat Works and East Coast Repair & Fabrication will perform work through Feb. 26, 2021, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The companies will also conduct dry docking, cleaning and painting for the vessels.
The Army Contracting Command received nine proposals for the contract via the Internet.
