ARMADA Parent, a provider of ship repair and construction services for the U.S. Navy, has acquired Virginia-based Poseidon Industrial to expand its maritime modernization and technical service capabilities across defense programs.
How Will the Acquisition Strengthen ARMADA?
The acquisition adds Poseidon to ARMADA’s network of operating companies, according to a press release published Tuesday. Poseidon specializes in mechanical, electrical and systems integration, providing modernization and professional services for naval ship repair and shipbuilding projects, including systems installation, alterations and improvement work, and quality assurance aligned with U.S. Navy standards.
ARMADA, majority-owned by Carlyle and Stellex Capital Management, said the acquisition highlights a strategic expansion of its maritime and defense capabilities and its continued investment in the defense industrial base
“Our acquisition of Poseidon represents a critical next step in strengthening ARMADA’s ability to serve our defense and maritime partners with precision, agility, and unwavering quality,” said Yehuda Chakoff, CEO of ARMADA. “Poseidon’s expertise in combat systems and electrical modernization aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver integrated solutions across public and private shipyards.”
Founded in 2021, ARMADA provides preservation, mechanical, structural and technical services through its portfolio of companies, including IMIA, American Scaffold, Advanced Marine Preservation, Main Industries and Craft and Technical Solutions.
“Poseidon proudly joins the ARMADA family, and we look forward to further building the platform together,” said Fernando Martinez, general manager of Poseidon.
