An annual report by management consulting firm Atlas Research shows how the company helps federal agencies such as the departments of Veterans Affairs and Health and Human Services address health challenges and improve health care.
The Impact Through Innovation report highlights the companys efforts to help the Veteran Health Administration design and come up with a strategy for its Innovation Ecosystem, Atlas said Tuesday.
The company worked with HHS on efforts to improve rural health care through technology integration and collaboration with stakeholders and other national programs meant to address concerns affecting critical patient populations.
The report also mentioned Atlas involvement in other health care initiatives, including the development of a multisector approach to ending the opioid epidemic in the U.S.; advancement of suicide prevention at VA; implementation of a modernized appeals process at VA through evidence-based change management; transformation of human capital strengths and strategies at the Small Business Administration; and inclusion of historically underserved populations in a health care research program.
