The California-based defense technology company said Thursday the acquisition provides it with access to the Numerica team’s expertise in scientific computing, advanced mathematical algorithms, and hardware engineering.
Access to Numerica’s Proprietary Radar Tech
Anduril will integrate Numerica’s Spyglass and Spark radar with its family of automated active and passive sensing platforms, including Iris, Pulsar and Wisp, to provide warfighters with autonomous imaging, sensing and targeting capabilities in support of missile warning, counter-intrusion, air defense and other critical missions.
The Department of Defense actively deploys Spyglass and Spark radars, which are designed for vehicle protection and short-range air defense missions.
Anduril noted that it will continue to invest in radar development initiatives and plans to produce Spark, Spyglass and future radar systems at its Arsenal-1 factory.
Integrating Numerica’s Mimir Software
The transaction enables Anduril to incorporate Numerica’s Mimir software into its suite of mission-centric software capabilities.
Mimir is a C2-enabling software that provides advanced tracking, track correlation, and theaterwide fusion capabilities.
Anduril said Mimir complements its Lattice artificial intelligence-powered platform to provide warfighters with real-time capability that improves decision-making, situational awareness and fire control.
