William Condon, a senior vice president of Amentum and a three-decade industry veteran, has been appointed as head of the company’s nuclear operations and cleanup business. He succeeds Jim Blankenhorn, who transitioned to a new role as lead for Amentum’s technical services unit, the company said Friday.
In his new capacity, Condon will lead an organization that helps the Department of Energy run nuclear facilities, process waste materials and perform environmental management work.
He was previously assigned to manage integration and technology for Washington River Protection Solutions, a joint venture that provides support to Hanford Site cleanup efforts.
Condon held a 23-year career at URS Corp., where his prior roles include executive program and project director for the U.K.-based Sellafield nuclear facility.
