Raytheon, a subsidiary of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has promoted Amanda Sorensen to senior vice president of human resources, she announced in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
Sorensen had been VP and chief HR officer of the company since April 2022, when the company was operating as Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
Her career in human resources management began in 2002, when she joined Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) as HR project manager. In her 12 years with the defense tech contractor, she worked in various roles such as HR director of the military aircraft services division and later of enterprise functions.
Sorensen moved to Raytheon in 2014 as HR director for engineering. Before her ascension to executive leadership, she became interim VP of HR and security and leader of talent recruitment, development and retention.
