Alex Burkart , most recently vice president of cyber solutions and strategic information technology operating group at Koniag Government Services , has assumed the role of operating group president for information solutions and security at KGS.
He announced his promotion at the Chantilly, Virginia-based federal tech services contractor in a LinkedIn post published Sunday.
In this capacity, he will oversee the delivery of cyber capabilities to U.S. government customers.
Prior to KGS, he spent a decade at Federated IT, where he served as computer incident response lead and security engineering team lead for the U.S. Agency for International Development.
His industry career included time holding network server engineering roles at Battelle and Genworth Financial.
