Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a spot on a potential seven-year, $409 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support a U.S. Air Force program that seeks to research and develop thermal, power and control technologies for air platforms.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday the Next Generation Thermal, Power, and Controls program will involve multiple government agencies and industry participants in the development of technologies to broaden understanding of future power, thermal and controls requirements.
Technologies developed under NGT-PAC will support the creation of next-generation engines as well as unmanned and manned aircraft, according to a FedBizOpps summary.
Lockheed’s aeronautics unit will perform contract work in Fort Worth, Texas, through July 31, 2024.
