The U.S. Air Force is looking for technology platforms and services to support a new task force that the military branch established to address acquisition requirements in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Department of the Air Force Acquisition COVID-19 Task Force is responsible for consolidating funding requests for disease response programs in line with Department of Defense requirements, the branch said in a solicitation notice posted Monday.
Interested parties have until Sept. 30 to submit proposals to support DAF ACT’s external assistance, industrial base resilience and large-scale contract award efforts.
According to a separate document, the Air Force may also ask contractors to perform prototyping and technology demonstration work to support the integration of commercial offerings with government systems.
Technology areas of interest outlined in the notice include analytics tools designed to help slow disease spread, logistics systems for citizen welfare efforts, telehealth platforms and other systems intended for medical and readiness efforts.
