Raytheon (NYSE:RTN) has received a two-year, $90.1 million contract to supply 39 Multi-Spectral Targeting System turrets to the U.S. Air Force.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday the company will also provide associated MTS data, spares and production support services under the fixed-price-incentive-firm contract.
An MTS sensor comprises electro-optical/infrared, laser designation and laser illumination tools designed to generate intelligence data for military and civilian organizations.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has obligated the full contract amount from the service branch’s fiscal year 2014 to fiscal year 2016 procurement funds.
Raytheon is scheduled to finish contract work April 30, 2018.
