SiAW is an air-to-ground weapon system that could provide stand-in platforms the capability to counter surface elements that create the anti-access/area denial environment, according to a justification and approval notice posted Wednesday.
“The Government has determined that the listed sources are the only ones with the requisite knowledge, experience and technical expertise necessary to develop and integrate the advanced technologies to fulfill the requirements for SiAW within the accelerated timeline,” the notice reads.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center wants the listed sources to submit a proposal, capability statement or quotation for consideration by the service and will accept questions and feedback on the notice of contract action through April 1.
