Aerospace Corp. Receives $1.2B Modification to Systems Engineering Contract With Space Systems Command

The Aerospace Corp. has received a modification to a contract with the Space Systems Command that calls for systems engineering and integration services in support of the national space community.

Work will be carried out in California with an expected completion date of Sept. 30, 2024, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The modification is worth $1.21 billion and brings the contract’s cumulative value to $6.93 billion.

The recent award is the fifth in a series of modifications to the multi-year SSC contract. The previous modification was awarded in September 2022 and was worth $1.19 billion. The year before that, Aerospace received a one-year, $1.15 billion contract modification.

Aerospace is a non-profit organization that operates a federally-funded research and development center focused on the challenges related to the space enterprise.
