Work will be carried out in California with an expected completion date of Sept. 30, 2024, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The modification is worth $1.21 billion and brings the contract’s cumulative value to $6.93 billion.
The recent award is the fifth in a series of modifications to the multi-year SSC contract. The previous modification was awarded in September 2022 and was worth $1.19 billion. The year before that, Aerospace received a one-year, $1.15 billion contract modification.
Aerospace is a non-profit organization that operates a federally-funded research and development center focused on the challenges related to the space enterprise.
