Aerospace Corp. has received a one-year, $1.05B contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to support engineering and integration of national security space systems via a federally funded research and development center.
Work covers planning, systems definition and technical specification operations, as well as user needs assessment, design alternatives, interoperability, manufacturing and quality control services, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The nonprofit corporation will also participate in tests and evaluations, launch support, orbital operations and space systems integration efforts.
DoD expects contract services to compete by Sept. 20, 2019.
