Silvus Technologies has appointed to the role of chief operating officer Gorik Hossepian, former vice president and general manager of medium unmanned aircraft systems at AeroVironment (Nasdaq: AVAV).
Hossepian is a 40-year veteran of the aerospace and defense industry, serving in companies such as Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Honeywell Aerospace, Silvus said Wednesday.
In 1982, he began his 18-year career at Honeywell as director of program management. He moved on to Boeing Satellite Systems as system engineering product line director and later director of commercial programs.
Most notably, Hossepian worked at Northrop for nearly a decade, initially as vice president of situational awareness systems and then VP of navigation and positioning technologies.
Hossepian was president of Arcturus UAV before it was acquired by fellow UAV manufacturer AeroVironment.
Commenting on Hossepian’s experience and appointment, Silvus Founder and CEO Babak Daneshrad said, “I look forward to working with him to continue to fuel Silvus’ rapid growth, delivering next generation comms technology and the superior product performance our end users have come to depend on and expect.”
