TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 2, 2016 Aerojet Rocketdyne (NYSE: AJRD) has completed several hot fire tests on two launch abort engines intended to support the propulsion system of Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) CST-100 Starliner service module, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
Aerojet Rocketdyne said Monday the tests sought to determine the capacity of the engines’ fuel and oxidizer valves to modulate propellant flow and peak thrust in case of situations that would require a launch abort.
