AECOM (NYSE: ACM) has won a potential five-year, $95 million contract to provide multidisciplinary architect-engineer services for the U.S. Navy‘s Environmental Restoration Program that comprises installation restoration and munitions response efforts.
The Defense Department said Tuesday AECOM’s technical services division will help the Navy evaluate site information, prepare project planning documents, conduct field investigations, analyze environmental samples and validate and examine analytical data.
Other tasks include human health and ecological risk assessments, remedial design preparations, construction oversight and participation in meetings with the service branch, regulators and natural resource trustees.
Two proposals were submitted to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and work will occur in military and other government facilities within NAVFAC’s Pacific area of responsibility.
The Navy awarded the company a $163,598 initial task order to support administrative functions at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii through September 2018.
