Fred Werner
Fred Werner, formerly president of AECOM‘s (NYSE: ACM) design and consulting services group in the Americas, will assume a new role as president of major pursuits in line with the company’s strategy.
The global infrastructure firm said Monday the appointment is part of efforts to build a diversified executive leadership team that will work to achieve business goals and priorities.
AECOM Chairman and CEO Michael Burke noted that recent promotions at the company come as it seeks to establish a market posture that would optimize opportunities.
Steve Morriss, who previously led AECOM business operations in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa as chief executive, will take over the Americas design and consulting services group as Werner’s successor.
Werner most recently oversaw the group’s technical service practice areas and is currently a member of the EMIA executive board and corporate executive leadership team.
His previous responsibilities at AECOM include roles as chief growth officer and president of EMIA, president of corporate development, head of the U.S. infrastructure group and CEO of the Americas transportation group.
He joined the company from DMJM Harris, where he served as president.
