Cedar, Utah-based American Pacific was established in 1955 and manufactures specialty chemicals for use in space launch, missile defense, fire suppression and pharmaceutical applications, AEI said Thursday.
Kirk Konert, a partner at AEI, said the company will continue to invest in American Pacific in support of its national security and space missions.
Kirkland & Ellis and PwC respectively served as legal and financial advisers to AEI, while Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP and Houlihan Lokey advised American Pacific on the deal’s legal and financial aspects.
