Accenture’s (NYSE: ACN) federal business has received a potential $340.9M contract to provide full system development lifecycle services to help the Department of Commerce consolidate core finance, acquisition, property, enterprise data warehouse and other business applications into a single suite of systems.
An award notice posted Monday says Accenture Federal Services will support DOC’s Business Applications Solution project, which seeks to integrate a suite of commercial off-the-shelf platforms in a hosted environment for the department to centralize administrative functions and leverage cloud-based platforms to achieve information technology operational efficiency, among others.
AFS will provide services across the areas of technology hosting and administration services; application management services; and system implementation services.
The project’s scope of work includes project management, business process analysis and design, operational/transactional reporting, data model management, EDW and reporting capability development, interface, data conversion, organizational change management, archiving data, software licenses, implementation and testing.
DOC plans to implement the project in three phases and estimates that it will take approximately 30 months to complete the first phase. The second and third implementation phases each would require a year to finish.
