As the next COO, Sharma will lead the firm’s business strategy and day-to-day operations, personnel and infrastructure protection and digital transformation initiatives.
The 27-year Accenture veteran led the establishment of a company program that facilitates collaboration with providers of small business process services in India’s rural areas.
“Manish brings enormous expertise and extensive knowledge of what our clients need and how to digitally transform,” said Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture.
Sharma will be succeeded by Yusuf Tayob, market unit lead for the U.S. Midwest, in the role of operations group chief executive.
