A business unit of AAR (NYSE: AIR) has secured a potential five-year, $90M contract to manufacture storage and shipping containers for the Defense Logistics Agency’s troop support division.
The sole-source indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will serve as a means for U.S. military and allied forces to procure equipment transportation systems, the company said Friday.
“We take pride in providing these critical assets to support the warfighter,” said Jeffery Jackson, vice president of business development at AAR’s mobility systems business.
The contract has a base performance period of two years, followed by three-year option periods.
Production of the containers and associated accessories will occur in Cadillac, Mich.
