The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded AARs (NYSE: AIR) mobility systems business unit a potential four-year, $200 million contract to supply hybrid mobile shelters, containers and related accessories to the Defense Department and civilian agencies.
Mark Platko, general manager of mobile systems unit at AAR, said Tuesday the contract will facilitate the delivery of shelters and other products designed for use by servicemembers in combat and humanitarian aid missions.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded by DLAs troop support clothing and textiles supply chain contains a base term of one year and three option years.
AAR said it will manufacture the products at its facility in Cadillac, Michigan.
