TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 6, 2017 Boeing (NYSE: BA), Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA), Sierra Nevada Corp. and Space Systems Loral will perform research on power and propulsion technologies for deep space missions under a $2.4 million NASA program, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The space agency said Thursday the companies are tasked to conduct studies over a four-month period with the goal to advance solar electric propulsion technology as a potential “gateway” for commercial and space station partners to collaborate with NASA.
