Patrick O’Malley
Patrick O’Malley, a three-decade veteran and former chief financial officer of Seagate Technology (Nasdaq: STX), has joined Avaya as senior vice president and CFO.
He will oversee Avaya’s financial operations that include the controller’s organization as well as investor relations, tax, treasury and financial planning functions, the company said Wednesday.
Avaya President and CEO Jim Chirico said O’Malley brings more than 30 years of financial management and enterprise technology to the company’s growth efforts.
O’Malley succeeds David Vellequette, who held the CFO role in the past five years.
Vellequette will remain with Avaya as SVP of finance through the end of 2017 to help with the transition and complete the company’s debt restructuring and public listing initiatives.
