Claroty announced Tuesday it has established an independent subsidiary that will take on all public sector work involving federal, state and local governments. The company set up Claroty Public Sector LLC as part of its efforts to mitigate foreign ownership, control or influence.
“The independence of the public sector subsidiary will help scale our business,” said Jen Sovada, general manager of Claroty Public Sector and a Wash100 Award winner.
Two other announcements came alongside it. Claroty xDome for Government reached “In Process” status at the High impact level in the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or FedRAMP, and Lynn Norris joined as regional vice president of federal sales.
Who Is Running Claroty Federal Sales?
Norris will lead revenue strategy and go-to-market work for the federal business. He served in the Air Force, then moved into engineering and enterprise technology sales over a four-decade career.
He held leadership roles at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, PTC, Illumio and Orca Security. He most recently served as chief revenue officer at Radiant Logic, which sells identity security and federated identity products.
Where Does Claroty Stand on Federal Authorization?
The FedRAMP designation is a step toward authorization. Reaching it required an external audit and a sponsoring federal agency. Claroty xDome for Government now appears on the FedRAMP Marketplace.
Separately, the Defense Logistics Agency granted the company authority to operate through the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service.
