Valkyrie Enterprises has named Thomas “Matt” Matthews as vice president of enterprise operations, expanding its leadership team as the company advances efforts to scale operations and align execution across the business.
Matthews will oversee enterprise operations, integration, capture enablement and digital transformation initiatives, according to Valkyrie’s LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
“Matt’s proven operational leadership, transformation expertise, and strategic vision will ensure the entire Valkyrie enterprise is executing with excellence and accelerating readiness through innovation,” said Josh Jackson, CEO of Valkyrie and a two-time Wash100 awardee.
What Experience Does Matt Matthews Bring?
Matthews brings more than 25 years of experience in government contracting, with a background spanning operations, program delivery and business development across defense and national security programs.
He most recently served as chief delivery officer at Client Solution Architects, where he led delivery operations supporting defense and national security customers. Prior to that role, he was vice president of the company’s Army and other agencies business unit.
Earlier in his career, Matthews held leadership roles at Capstone, where he served as director of operations and program manager, and at SAIC, where he managed programs and capture efforts supporting Department of War and NATO customers. He also worked as a senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in war studies from King’s College London.
How Does This Appointment Fit Into Valkyrie’s Leadership Expansion?
The appointment follows Valkyrie’s recent addition of Joyner Livingston as senior vice president of mission solutions, reflecting continued investment in leadership across operations and growth-focused functions.
Livingston, who joined from Deloitte Consulting, is responsible for leading operations, growth strategy and program delivery for the company’s technical services portfolio.
Valkyrie Enterprises, headquartered in Virginia Beach, provides mission-focused technology and services to government and commercial customers.
