According to a presolicitation published Monday on SAM.gov, the service’s 633rd Contracting Squadron intends to issue a request for proposals on or about March 2, 2026. Questions and comments on the draft invitation for bid, or IFB, for the SABER indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract are due Jan. 23.
What Is the Scope of the Air Force SABER IDIQ Contract?
According to the draft IFB, the SABER covers a range of repair, maintenance, minor and new construction work on real property at Joint Base Langley-Eustis.
Projects under the SABER program may include civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, masonry, various roofing systems, earthworks and landscaping, environmental and hazardous abatements, power and heat generation, and aerial and underground utilities.
The military branch plans to award two firm-fixed-price contracts under the program with an on- or off-ramp provisions.
The contracts will have a one-year base term and seven option years.
