The Department of Defense said Thursday the firm-fixed-price contract, issued by the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base, supports foreign military sales customers in Bahrain, Bulgaria, Greece, South Korea, Slovakia, Taiwan, Morocco and Jordan. It runs through November 2030.
The AN/APG-83 active electronically scanned array radar provides high-resolution mapping and improved detection capabilities. Several partner countries, including Taiwan, Slovakia and Bahrain, are upgrading portions of their fleets to the F-16V standard.
While the ceiling value of the contract is $303.6 million, $2.7 million in FMS funds were obligated at the time of the award. The work will be performed at Linthicum Heights, Maryland.
