Siemens Appoints Former Microsoft Exec T’Neil Walea as Federal, Aerospace and Defense VP

Siemens has appointed seasoned technology executive T’Neil Walea as vice president and head of its U.S. federal, aerospace and defense business. Her Siemens Digital Industries team will focus on digitalization and modernization support for the defense industrial base and the federal government, Walea said in a LinkedIn post announcing her appointment.

Who Is T’Neil Waalea?

Before joining Siemens, she had a three-year stint at Microsoft, most recently serving as director of strategic missions and technologies, overseeing product management and sales delivery of artificial intelligence technologies to civilian and defense customers. According to her LinkedIn profile, Walea also worked at IBM for more than four years, with her last role as the company’s chief technology officer for federal customers in the space sector and in the Department of Defense and the defense industrial base.

Her previous work experience also includes serving for over eight years as special projects director for Reach Out America and 16 years as managing director of TNT Group Consulting. In addition, she spent six years as communications director of the South Texas District UPCI, after starting her career in 2007 as brand manager of Vanessa Riley London.

Walea holds a master of science degree in national security from Liberty University and a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Houston.
