Keysight Technologies Announces Completion of Spirent Communications Acquisition in $1.46B Deal

Keysight Technologies has completed its acquisition of Spirent Communications for $1.46 billion. The companies secured all regulatory requirements from the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and China to finalize the transaction, Keysight said Wednesday.

Acquisition Details

The acquisition integrates Spirent’s operations and services within Keysight’s Communications Solutions Group.

“Today marks a milestone for Keysight as we officially welcome Spirent into our company. By combining Keysight’s leading design, emulation, and test expertise with Spirent’s strengths in satellite emulation, positioning, and network automation, we are expanding the breadth of our portfolio to better serve our customers,” commented Satish Dhanasekaran, president and CEO of Keysight. “This acquisition accelerates our strategy and positions us to deliver even greater value in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.”

Spirent shareholders will receive a total of 202.5 pence per share and the previously awarded special dividends of 3.5 pence per share from the acquisition. The company will also be delisted from the London Stock Exchange on Friday.

What Spirent Offers

Spirent provides automated testing, assurance and analytics products and services for networks, cybersecurity and positioning systems worldwide. The company supports customers in designing, deploying and optimizing 5G, cloud computing, SD-WAN, autonomous vehicles and other advanced technologies. 

In 2024, the company generated approximately $460.2 million in revenue.
