Applied Information Sciences, or AIS, a provider of cloud and artificial intelligence technologies for the federal government, has acquired Dorrean.
AIS said Thursday that the transaction is part of its efforts to expand its presence in the U.S. federal market and is in line with its goal of investing in high-impact mission areas.
What is Dorrean?
Dorrean offers “tip-of-the-spear” analytics and mission support services to customers in federal national security and law enforcement.
The company is one of the 28 awardees of the General Services Administration’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services Plus, or OASIS+, contract program announced in December 2024. OASIS+ is a suite of multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts designed to provide federal agencies with service-based requirements.
Dorrean also supports the Department of Justice through the Information Technology Supplies and Support Services 2nd Generation blanket purchase agreement, the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.
What the Executives are Saying
“This acquisition reflects our commitment to delivering critical solutions to our country’s national security mission,” commented Larry Katzman, CEO of AIS. “As a combined entity, our cloud, data, AI, and mission-focused capabilities will be easily accessible across the entire federal government through Unrestricted, Prime contracts including OASIS+, DOJ’s ITSSS-2, the Tradewinds OTA, and the GSA Multiple Award Schedule.”
“We are thrilled to join the AIS team, a well-respected provider of cloud, AI, data, and mission solutions to the federal market,” stated Steve Psarakis, CEO of Dorrean. “This partnership allows us to scale our impact for the mission, create new growth opportunities for our employees, and bring even greater value to the customers we support through technology-enabled solutions.”
