Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirement Contract Scope
According to the request for proposals issued on SAM.gov Wednesday, the potential contractor will provide design and construction services. This includes management, supervision, labor and transportation services, and the provision of materials and equipment. The work encompasses various maintenance, repair and minor construction projects at the Edwards Air Force Base, including Air Force Research Laboratory, NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center at the Edwards site and satellite facilities in Palmdale, California. Contract work will also be performed at various Air Force facilities in Plant 42, also in Palmdale.
The contract will have a base value of $100 million with an additional $20 million if the one-year option is exercised. A minimum guaranteed amount of $10,000 will be obligated.
Edwards AFB is an Air Force installation with over 308,000 acres and 3,064 structures, including research and development facilities, a hospital, airfields, a flight line, infrastructure, an administrative building, and secure areas.
