KBR has secured an estimated $229 million recompete task order to provide life cycle research and analysis for the U.S. Army Cargo Helicopter Systems.
The company said Tuesday the task order falls under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s, or DODIAC, multiple-award contract, or MAC, vehicle.
Task Order Details
Under the DODIAC MAC task order, KBR will research, analyze, assess and develop recommendations to make the CH-47 Chinook helicopter more available and reliable and have lower support costs for the Cargo Helicopter Project Management Office and foreign military sales partners.
The Army uses the CH-47 Chinook for various operations, including troop and cargo transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, disaster relief, and combat operations.
The company will conduct maintainability, quality, supportability and interoperability analyses and strategies, as well as provide logistics management, testing program management, independent verification and validation, and life cycle and cost analyses.
Commenting on the new contract, KBR President and CEO Stuart Bradie said, “This is a significant win for KBR and we’re proud to continue supporting this important program and the wider U.S. Department of Defense. Our subject matter experts play an important role in developing and maintaining systems for the U.S. military, which is critical for national security.”
