DAF Seeks Bids for $750M CHIPS Contract

The Department of the Air Force has started seeking proposals for a potential five-year, $750 million multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide professional services for U.S. Central Command Headquarters.

According to a solicitation notice published Tuesday, the CENTCOM Headquarters IDIQ for Professional Services, or CHIPS, contract has a one-year base term and four option years and will be competed as a total set-aside program for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and Small Business Administration-certified 8(a) businesses.

The government plans to award approximately 20 task orders through the CHIPS contract.

Proposals are due Jan. 9.

CHIPS Contract Scope

According to the performance work statement, the professional services to be provided through the CHIPS contract will enable HQ USCENTCOM to execute seven joint functions common to joint operations: command and control, information, intelligence, fires, movement and maneuver, protection and sustainment.

Professional services include program management; management and program analysis; assessment, monitoring and evaluation; IT; data science; logistics management; operational contract support; acquisition management; financial management; language; intelligence; public affairs; and scientific services.

The support services may require integration across USCENTCOM directorates, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Department of Defense counterparts, allies and partner nations operating within the HQ USCENTCOM area of responsibility.

In April, DAF issued a draft presolicitation for the requirement.
