As head of the federal practice, Coligado will help Smoothstack advance the adoption of the hire-train-deploy framework within the public sector and address the gap in tech skills impacting government customers’ mission-critical digital efforts, the company said Monday.
“The public sector has been slower to adopt the HTD model than commercial businesses. With Chris’ leadership, we’re looking forward to capitalizing on this huge opportunity to help government agencies execute on their digital missions,” said Smoothstack CEO John Akkara.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Coligado most recently served as senior VP and federal market lead at 22nd Century Technologies, where he oversaw the technology business line for the federal government consulting market in defense and civilian sectors.
Prior to 22nd Century Technologies, he spent more than 20 years at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), where he served as a principal and senior managing director leading the growth of digital service offerings across the civil finance regulatory agencies.
“With the acceleration of AI innovation, we’ve reached an inflection point where we must find a way around the tech talent shortages holding us back. Smoothstack’s HTD approach has the potential to make a massive impact on the federal sector’s ability to scale their digital efforts with cleared, net-new technology resources,” said Coligado.
