The board of directors of Aretum has promotedRohit Gupta, most recently senior vice president and executive technologist at the government technology services contractor, to CEO.
Bethesda, Maryland-based Aretum said Wednesday Gupta brings to the role over 25 years of leadership experience across information technology, finance, accounting, contracts, business development, recruiting and marketing areas.
He played a key role in overseeing Aretum Labs, which is focused on emerging technology projects in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation and blockchain, among other areas.
Before Aretum, he was president and chief technology officer at Artemis Consulting, where he led operational and delivery teams and managed projects for various customers, including the Library of Congress, AT&T (NYSE: T), TRC, Cognotec and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Gupta has helped develop various web and smart speaker applications and contributed to the Government Accountability Office’s Agile Guide for Federal Government projects.
