Trip Ferguson, former chief operations officer at Dynetics, has joined BlueHalo to serve as chief operating officer and he brings more than two decades of military and GovCon industry experience to the Arlington Capital Partners-backed company.
He will oversee day-to-day operations as BlueHalo’s COO as the company aims to advance its technology offerings to the production stage and new programs of record, the national security tech provider said Tuesday.
“We’ve spent the last three years building a foundational base to disrupt our market and have built exceptional momentum across every domain and technology area of focus,” said BlueHalo CEO Jonathan Moneymaker.
Moneymaker, a 2022 Wash100 Award winner, added that Ferguson will play a key role in driving the company forward into its next chapter.
Ferguson led operations at private equity-backed and publicly traded companies during the past decade. The former U.S. Marine Corps officer spent more than three years at Dynetics, which Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) acquired in early 2020.
Before his tenure at Dynetics, he held operational leadership roles within the medical, energy, firearms and nonprofit sectors.
