11 Vendors Secure USTRANSCOM Contract Option for Worldwide Shipping Services

U.S. Transportation Command has awarded contract modifications to 11 companies to continue providing ocean and intermodal distribution services worldwide.

The modifications exercise the option period on previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts and work is set to begin on Sept. 1 and run through Aug. 31, 2023, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The vendors will provide port-to-port and door-to-door transportation services for breakbulk and containerized cargo using ocean common or contract carriers.

USTRANSCOM is funding the option period using transportation working capital funds for fiscal years 2022 and 2023.

The awardees and their contract modification values are listed below:

American President Lines – $147.7 million
American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier – $88.4 million
Farrell Lines – $65.2 million
Hapag-Lloyd USA – $58.8 million
Liberty Global Logistics – $71.9 million
Maersk Line – $179 million
Matson Navigation – $74.9 million
Schuyler Line Navigation – $12.8 million
TOTE Maritime’s Alaska and Puerto Rico businesses – $20.5 million and $14.7 million, respectively
Waterman Transport – $35.8 million
Young Brothers – $7.7 million
