The U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems will help the Defense Logistics Agency maintain operational technology used to manage the storage and distribution of fuel products for Department of Defense missions across the globe.
Contract work includes preventive and corrective maintenance work on sensors, network communications, controls, alarms and gauges at DOD-owned fueling facilities, BAE Systems Inc. said Tuesday.
These facilities house DLA’s automated tank gauging, independent alarm systems and overfill protection equipment.
Lisa Hand, vice president and general manager of BAE’s integrated defense solutions business, said the company has provided engineering and technical support to the agency’s fuel storage and delivery operations over the past two decades.
