Saab’s U.S. subsidiary has booked a potential $91.5 million sole-source contract to help the U.S. Navy maintain medium-range 3D surveillance radars and other sensor systems.
Saab Inc. will support the life cycle sustainment of AN/SPS-77 radar variants, AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar Systems, the Celsius Tech Radar and Optronic Site 200 fire control system, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Sixty-eight percent of work will take place in Syracuse, New York, and the remaining 32 percent will occur n Sweden, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Services are scheduled to initially conclude in September 2021 and will continue for an additional four-year period if all options are exercised.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee term and firm-fixed-price contract has a base value of $20.86 million and the branch will obligate $7.7 million at the time of award.
