Northrop Awarded $422M MDA Contract to Provide Missile Boost Vehicles
The Department of Defense said Friday MDA is also procuring spare BV components for the anti-ballistic missile component of the U.S. Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system, as well as software and hardware repair, upgrade and maintenance support.
The contract has a base value of $233.9 million and two option periods that, if exercised, will bring it to its ceiling amount and extend the expected completion date to August 2031.
Northrop Grumman Space Systems will conduct work in Chandler, Arizona; and Magna, Utah.
MDA will obligate $181.4 million in combined fiscal 2020 and 2021 procurement funds to cover the first delivery order. Future orders will determine succeeding funding.
