Teledyne FLIR has appointed JihFen Lei, former principal deputy and acting director of research and engineering at the Defense Department, as vice president and general manager of the company’s surveillance business, Politico reported Monday.
Lei’s professional experience includes government service at NASA, the Army Research Laboratory and the White House’s Office of Science and Technology.
She served as special assistant in NASA’s Office of Biological and Physical Science from 2002 to 2003 and senior researcher at ARL from 1995 to 1999. Her NASA career also includes work as director of research and technology for the space agency’s Glenn Research Center.
Between 2015 and 2019, Leid held a VP role at infrared sensor provider Teledyne Judson Technologies.
